PIZZAFARI IS BACK in a big way at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! I’m not going to lie, I don’t think I’ve ever visited this location before. However, the menu for the reopening of Pizzafari was too good to pass up. Oddly enough, this New Jersey native loves a good Disney Parks personal pizza, so I had to check out this reopening!
Pizza sounds good to me!
Of course, at Pizzafari, the star of the safari is pizza! At this wild pizza pub, they have plenty of options to choose from. And I tried them ALL! A classic cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, pepperoni and sausage, and my favorite – a kids cheese pizza. Yes, it’s the same as the adult option, but smaller, and cuter. If you’re looking for a classic … “Italian” option in the park, this pizza is the perfect classic snack.
Beyond the Pizzafari
It’s a no brainer that pizza is on the menu, but beyond that, this new menu has so much to offer if you’re looking for a place to eat in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! While the pizza was great, my favorite menu item was actually the chicken Caesar salad. The chicken has such awesome seasoning on it, almost as if it was covered in pesto, and the salad was great too. With a side of the garlic knots dipped in marinara, it’s the perfect lunch for a WILD day at Animal Kingdom. If you’re looking for something more substantial, the chicken part sandwich was really well done. And if you’re looking for something plant-based, the greens and grains salad is a great choice! It’s made with a green goddess dressing that’s thick and rich from tofu! It adds body AND protein to the salad. This salad really is delicious, especially on a hot park day where you need something light.
Don’t skip dessert + drinks!
Whether you’re drinking an adult beverage or you just want something sweet and fun, Pizzafari has the perfect drink. The blue lagoon lemonade is tart, sweet, and topped with gummy worms! I loved this drink because it fit the theme and the storytelling of this restaurant perfectly.
For dessert, the spaghetti and meatball cupcake is a super pleasant surprise. First of all, it’s so obviously adorable. This cupcake looks like a little mound of pasta with a perfect, saucy meatball on top. But, the pasta is made of sweet buttercream, and the meatball is a soft, chocolate doughnut hole. Best of all, the vanilla cupcake has a thick, rich cannoli filling, complete with mini chocolate chips!
