About Josie Maida, freelance writer and content creator

Hi! I’m Josie! I’m a traveling foodie on a mission to try all things delicious. 🍟

As a young girl growing up in New Jersey, my family always knew I was a little foodie. My first word was corn. My favorite childhood television shows were Unwrapped and Emeril Live. I loved to cook, and of course, this little foodie loved to eat. 🍴

Since graduating from the University of Rhode Island in 2017, I have always worked in social media. 🐏 Working in agencies and for large companies like The Walt Disney Company, I loved creating content and crafting copy. I had a small Instagram account where I shared my love of theme parks, but during the COVID-19 global pandemic, I felt like I lost my love for creating.

Then came TikTok – I created an account and began sharing my love for food online for the first time. Now, across all of my platforms, I can finally focus on my first passion – being a foodie! I felt confident in sharing on my Instagram again. I wrote some fun blog posts about the joys of being a foodie – and then I even started writing food stories for Yahoo! πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ’»

The foodie life is sweet!

I truly believe I am where I am today because of my love of food. I’m so thankful for the unique career I have built around my two passions – communicating and food, of course! Currently, I am based in sunny Orlando, Florida. It’s a great bubble where I can explore theme parks, head out on foodie adventures, and can always catch a flight to my next destination! πŸŽ‘✈️

My goal is to create a fun and safe corner of the internet. Where my community can be reminded that life is short. That they can see that it’s okay to find joy in a meal. To help them find a place to be inspired to try something new.

Beyond the foodie.

Of course, it’s not all food, all the time. I also own a small but mighty social media agency, called Maida Media. And I am the host of The Carousel Project Podcast. A podcast that shares theme park history through the lens of marketing and public relations!

Always say hi!

When I first started posting on social media, it wasn’t about the followers or money … okay. Maybe a little. A girl can dream!! πŸ’It was about making friends, and I still stand by that today. I am so humbled and honored that a single person would take time out of their day to sit and eat with me! πŸ’› Whether you’re a new friend, or you’ve followed me from the start, always feel free to say hello. From DMs to IRL, I always love to meet and make new friends!

Thank you deeply for your support,
